DIY GUMMY BEARS

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of mandarin/elderberry Juice

  • 3 tBSP GELATIN POWDER

  • 3 TBSP vitamins (MIGHTY MINERALS)

This super simple,  three ingredient recipe will have your children begging for more!They won't even realize all the health benefits that come along with eating these gummies. Elderberries and mandarins are both packed with antioxidants and vitamins that boost your immune system and are full of flavor! Mandarins are also a citrus, therefore they are a natural preservative and will allow the gummies to last for a bit longer. For this recipe, we used Organic Olivia's Mighty Minerals which is a liquid that tastes sweet like honey but it is filled with herbs and vitamins. If you do not have this product, it may be substituted for any other vitamins of your choice! Lastly, don't forget to invite your child to join in on all the gummy making fun! Let them be apart of the process! Teach them the ingredients you use and allow them to take part in the steps! Purchasing a gummy mold of their choice (we used dinosaur molds) makes it more fun and interesting for the little ones as well! Hope you enjoyed this recipe as much as we did!

  1. Start by peeling the skin off your mandarins and place your mandarins and elderberries in the juicer. Make sure to collect 1 cup of juice!

  2. Add 1 cup of mandarin/elderberry juice to a pot and keep at a low to medium heat. Do not reach a boil. Add in beef gelatin powder and stir gently to not make clumps. 

  3. Add vitamins to the pot and keep mixing. 

  4. After all ingredients are mixed together grab a syringe and fill gummy molds with liquid to the top.

  5. Refrigerate for up to 30 minutes and then you're done!
